Ben Chancellor and ‘Gaz’ Phillips are the owners of Sub Cult. They met on the rave scene in the 90s, but today make delicious sarnies together. Inspired by Jewish and Italian delis in New York, Ben and Gaz set out to create the best subs in London.

Sub Cult subs and sarnies are carefully crafted from start to end. From the soft American sub rolls to the loaded and innovative fillings. Sub Cult only uses premium, quality, and sustainable suppliers.

The sandwich kings Ben and Gaz show us how to rustle up their most popular sub: The Rodeo. This started as a Philly Cheesesteak but quickly became its own beast, made using bavette steak, provolone cheese, shallot marmalade, and truffle mayo. An absolute winner.

If you love a good sandwich, head straight to Sub Cult. There is nothing else in London quite like it. Gaz’s award winning background in fine dining means the sandwiches are the best, and the pair even appeared on Masterchef as guest judges.

Sub Cult’s sarnie shop can be found on 82 Watling Street, EC4M 9BX, or pop over to The ‘Soul Roller’ van, which can be found in various locations in London and at Brockley Market on a Saturday.
