Are You A Full-Time Content Creator?

No.

When Did You First Start Your Instagram Account?

I started my Instagram account five years ago as a platform to share restaurant recommendations. Primarily brunch spots in London – hence the name!

What Was The First Post You Made That Made It Big?

Over lockdown, I shifted to posting recipe content. That’s when my page started to gain real traction, especially when Reels were introduced. My first viral reel was for a garlic bread recipe and the second was a two-ingredient naan!

How Long Does It Take You To Make A Video?

It varies but I’d say somewhere between one and three hours.

Do You Do Any Sort Of Research Beforehand To Ensure The Video Will Bang?

I spend time watching recipe videos that have performed particularly well on Instagram and TikTok – this helps me to understand what people enjoy watching!

What Would Be Your Best Piece Of Advice To Anyone Trying To Get Into The Food Content Game?

Just start! You don’t need any fancy equipment – I used to hold my phone to film my videos before getting a tripod! Spend time on the platforms so you understand what people want. Practice is everything.

Do You Have A Strategy When It Comes To How Often You Post?

Ideally, I would post three to four times a week but, in reality, Reels take time to film and – because of time constraints – I’m only able to post twice a week.

Have You Ever Struggled With People Copying Your Style?

Yes, especially because I was one of the first on Instagram to post ASMR Reels. Ultimately, though, it’s a compliment and as long as you stay authentic to yourself you will succeed!

What Kind Of Content Performs Best For You?

Short ASMR recipe videos.

What Are Your Plans For The Long-Term Future?

Not sure to be honest – my Instagram grew organically and I didn’t expect it at all so I am just trying to enjoy the opportunities that it brings and it’s a great hobby!
