Immense - used peanut butter as I had no tahini and it’s incredible. Added pak choi, blanched before putting sliced chicken back in the broth

This is amazing and has become an absolute staple. Very easy to bulk up with additional veg. Feels so nourishing and healthy as well as filling! I often freeze a few portions of the broth and chicken for a v quick and easy dinner when in a rush!

Could you meal prep/reheat leftovers with this? If so how would you rec doing - or is it better to do w breast if cooking for one person?

Hi Jasmine, yes you could use chicken breasts if cooking for one person. You could reheat the rice, chicken and broth thoroughly in the microwave until piping hot, then add the cucumber and spring onion garnish at the end.

How long do you have it at a rolling boil for before removing please? X

Hi Hannah! As soon as it reaches a roiling boil, remove it from the heat, add a lid on and set aside for 90 minutes.

if you're even contemplating making this recipe, just do it. It is unreal. I used chicken breast and wowie.

Does it need to be sushi rice? Can it work with basmati as well?
Mob

Hi Sarah! Basmati rice would work too, but it will have a slightly different texture and aroma.

Great recipe for days with a sore throat etc. Great also when well, but very comforting too. Takes some time to finish, but very little effort involved. Loved it!

This is delicious! The tahini sauce is so good! Are there any other veg that I could add to this dish? Would pickling the cucumbers work? Or pak choi?

Hi Sophie, glad you enjoyed it! You could definitely pickle the cucumbers in some rice vinegar and serve some steamed pak choi, tenderstem broccoli or any other greens on the side.

What would the timings be for a chicken breast as opposed to a whole chicken
Mob

·Admin
Hi Gemma. Depending on the thickness of the chicken breast, we'd recommend checking it after 10-15 mins (the thicker it is, the more time it takes). Enjoy!

What’s a rolling boil?

Hi Carla, thanks for reaching out! A rolling boil is when the water in your pan is bubbling and moving vigorously without you stirring it. It comes from using a high amount of heat.

This was so nice and comforting and I loved the flavour combo and the unexpected sesame-tahini sauce flavour bomb. So good!

Do you first let the chicken sit for 90 mins and then cook the rice? If yes, what’s the best way to reheat the chicken before serving?

Hi K, thanks for reaching out! That's right, you let the chicken sit for 90 mins and then cook the rice, using some of the chicken cooking liquid. We've added a step to reheat the chicken before serving (we recommend adding the chicken back into the broth and setting it over a medium heat for 5-10 mins to warm through). Thanks again for the helpful feedback!

Ben's recipes are also some of my favourite on Mob. This was though so simple is out of this world. I honestly did not expect it to be this good and the sesame sauce added so much depth to the dish
