Refried Black Beans
The best side dish to serve at any Mexican meal. At home there is always some fried beans in the fridge. I grew up eating fried pinto beans, as I am from the north of Mexico, but black beans are just as good. Traditionally they are fried with pork lard, but frying them with a good vegetable oil is fine. Beans are always present on a Mexican table, especially when having a feast.
