The dough was very runny at first, I ended up mixing an extra 100g of flour in and was still very runny when I ended up putting it in the oven. The bread ended up tasting good but it didn’t rise as much as I’ve had with other recipes, so I imagine I should have added extra bicarbonate of soda to compensate for the extra flour. So I would advise holding back on the amount of buttermilk and making sure the dough is as thick as you need it to not flop onto the baking tray like mine did

I think maybe you haven’t tested this recipe? It makes a very runny dough. I had to try and rescue it with recipes from elsewhere ☹️. It’s in the oven now. I really hope I haven’t wasted the ingredients.

Hi! The dough is more wet than some other soda breads. If you live in a humid place it might also change the hydration level of the dough - if its too hard for you to work with, you can stir through a little more flour.
