Crispy Tofu with Smoky Black Beans & Spicy Orange Salsa
I’ve heard that feijoada, the traditional Brazilian black bean stew, is sometimes eaten with slices of orange, to offset and freshen the richness in the beans. I got inspired by that flavour pairing to make this incredible dish. Whether you’re vegan, veggie or not, I promise you’ll love it.

Thank you Cassidy <3 This dish really highlights the flavour of the black beans with subtle but complementary flavours. It's been a favourite in the Mob office!

This was absolute winner tonight!
I added chipotle paste to the beans after seeing comments of blandness & served with steamed white fish for extra protein

Made this for tea last night. I liked the tofu although I think it needed a marinade prior to flouring and baking. Really enjoyed the orange salsa and would make again! But found myself double and triple checking the recipe to make sure I hadn't missed something ... the beans were bland and there seemed to be far too many of them! I would definitely make this again but halve the beans and include some spicy rice. Otherwise the dish just isn't filling enough (unless you want to eat a LOT of black beans).

The salsa was nice. I’d make that again. The rest was underwhelming. Not unpleasant, just a bit bland.
