Chicken Chow Mein
If you think you can only get a great chow mein at your local Chinese takeout, think again. This homemade chicken chow mein bangs, bringing all the savoury goodness of Cantonese cooking right to your kitchen. Inspired by the flavours of traditional chǎomiàn (炒面), this dish is ridiculously simple to make, using classic stir-frying techniques to give the noodles that authentic wok hei taste. Stir-fried chicken thighs, fresh green onions, crunchy water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots come together for a dish that rivals any dim sum restaurant.
You can customize your chow mein by adding bok choy or tofu for a veggie twist, or spice it up with a little chili sauce. Serve it as part of a larger Chinese meal, perhaps alongside dim sum or sweet and sour pork, for a real restaurant experience at home. With just a few steps, you'll master one of the most beloved Chinese dishes around.

Far to much messing around. Stir fry is quick and easy. Not loads of steps
