Chicken Biryani Recipe

This is my absolute favourite chicken biryani recipe, full of rich, aromatic flavours that capture the essence of Indian cuisine. There are lots of biryani variations, from Hyderabadi chicken biryani to Pakistani biryani, but this one stands out for its perfect blend of spices, tender chicken, and fluffy Tilda rice. The fragrant basmati rice pairs beautifully with marinated chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and spices like cumin, coriander, and cardamom. Adding saffron-infused milk and fresh herbs like mint and cilantro enhances the dish's depth and aroma. Pair it with a side of cooling raita, a fresh salad, or even some spicy pickles for a meal that's truly satisfying. Whether it's a family dinner or a special occasion, this biryani recipe will impress every time. You can also customise it with vegetables or make it extra rich by adding fried nuts. Seema x

Thanks for the feedback Ross. There should be 2 garlic cloves (we've updated the ingredients list)

Thanks Elena! There should be 6 whole cloves, added along with the coriander seeds. We've added these to the ingredients list!
