Step 1.
Remove and discard the tough stems of the cavolo nero, then chop the leaves into slices and place in a steamer basket or sieve.
Step 2.
Heat up the stock in a small pot.
Step 3.
Bring a medium pot of salted water to the boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add the soba noodles into the pot, rest the sieve or steamer basket with the kale on top, then cover with a lid. Cook the noodles following packet instructions, then drain and place the noodles and the cavolo nero into a bowl.
Step 4.
Pour the hot stock over the noodles and cavolo nero. Finely chop the chives and sprinkle them on top, followed by a splash of tamari and the black sesame seeds.
