Presenting Selasi Gbormittah: self-proclaimed feeder and semi-finalist on the Great British Bake off. Salasi grew up in Ghana and moved to the UK in 2001 when he was 14. He studied economics and finance at uni, where he also discovered a passion for baking. Today, he has a career in finance, but always finds time for some baking. He makes some sublime desserts over on his insta @selasigb.

Selasi decided to go savoury when he came to the MOB studio and to make a classic dish from Ghana: Jollof Rice and, in his words, the best Jollof Rice around. Fragrant fluffy rice, succulent chicken and crispy fried plantain. This dish is full of flavour. It’s colourful and vibrant, and takes Selasi back to his childhood where he used to cook this dish with his mum and nan.

Do what Selasi does and plate it on one big plate, so everyone can dig in together. It's absolutely delicious, get on it MOB.
