Gnocchi with Smashed Peas, Lemon & Parmesan
This is my smashed pea gnocchi. It's a stunner of a summer dish and dead simple. You can use fresh peas if you like, but frozen really are the best. B x

absolutely delicious! I added some sun dried tomatoes and it was the perfect touch, can’t wait to make this again - gonna try swapping out Parmesan for cheddar to save on the next food shop!

Delicious, but we struggled to brown the gnocchi. it just created a starchy layer on the bottom of the pan. Any suggestions Mob for how to prevent this? Flavour was bang on and I agree with another commenter that it’s great with some extra chicken for more protein

i had the same thing, ended up transferring it to a new pan and it took quite long but it browned nicely without the starchy bottom!!

I had the same! Delicious flavour but I had a sticky mess at the bottom of the pan too...

really delicious, I added a jar of bold butter beans with their liquid and skipped the starch water from the gnocchi, helped bulk out the meal and add some fiber - will repeat this!

really loved this! think I overcooked the gnocchi (can never quite get it right but the outcome was still delish. would probably have this with meat next time as the portion is quite small. will definitely make again

Top tip: Don't use hand blender for the peas. It definitely goes everywhere!

Tasty - current serving with 500g gnocchi was closer to three servings! Also, doesn't say it in the recipe but add the lemon juice to the sauce (they do this in the video).

Hey Annelise! This one makes a standard 125g portion, feel free to double up if you'd like a larger serving :) x

Soooooo good. I am lactose intolerant so I used lactaid sour cream instead of crème fraiche and still tasted amazing. I also added leeks and broccoli like another commenter. 10/10

Just great! I added three chicken thighs for protein but the pea sauce it's sooooo tasty by itself! Definitely saving this recipe for the future.
