Gnocchi with Smashed Peas, Lemon & Parmesan
This is my smashed pea gnocchi. It's a stunner of a summer dish and dead simple. You can use fresh peas if you like, but frozen really are the best. B x

Soooooo good. I am lactose intolerant so I used lactaid sour cream instead of crème fraiche and still tasted amazing. I also added leeks and broccoli like another commenter. 10/10

Really nice! I had to defrost my peas a little bit to get them to blend. Agree with comments below about portion sizes. It’s really for two greedy adults or three normal people.

Hi Natasha! So glad you enjoyed the recipe. And thanks for the thoughtful feedback... we'll take this on board with our recipe developers and look at tweaking the portion size and pea de-frosting. Hope you have a great day!

Just great! I added three chicken thighs for protein but the pea sauce it's sooooo tasty by itself! Definitely saving this recipe for the future.

Agree the portions are small. We added bacon which was a great addition. Yum!!

Agree that this isn’t enough for 4 adults. I really liked it, my husband was unimpressed. It looks like there’s loads of sauce in the photo but the gnocchi soaks it up instantly and it ends up pretty stodgy (but tasty).

Quick tip, the lemon zest gets really strong over time. So if you’re meal prepping, don’t add too much in the start if it doesn’t taste lemony enough on the first day, because it will overpower on the second.

Super tasty but I’d say be a bit more generous with the measurements if you’re gonna make it. I did enough for 4 portions but it makes more like 3. I also used kale instead of asparagus and it was a good swap!

Don't be stupid like me and use a hand-blender + shallow tupperware to blend frozen peas! This was so good!!! I like it on the lemony side so added the lemon juice as well as zest to loosen the sauce when it started thickening up a bit too much at the end.

Hyperfixated on this gnocchi. A crowd fave amongst friends, no matter how many times I make it. The lemon. The basil. The pepper. 10/10!!!

Absolutely delicious and totally forgiving if you need to swap some of the ingredients about (pasta for gnocci or Tenderstem Broccoli). I also added leeks and spinach too.
10/10 will be making again!

My name is also Amy H and I was planning on making this tomorrow night, subbing the asparagus for.... Tender stem broccoli. *coincidence, I think not*! Look forward to making it
