I made this for the month and it’s amazing!
My only suggestion for a batch of this size is to precook the chicken in small batches so you can properly brown it. I plan to add a big helping of spinach next time to up the veggie serving. Great recipe!!!
6 servings
3lbs of chicken (upped to 8oz / serving)
51oz of bone broth (kept it thick!)
Loads of sun dried tomatoes and pesto 😋

delicious quick one pan recipe! great dinner option. I’ve changed the cream by two spoons of cream cheese and found it great. I didn’t add Basil this time, but it didn’t lack any flavour at all.

So tasty - we used low fat cream cheese instead of cream, and needed extra cooking time for the orzo. I forgot to add the parmesan, but didnt miss it as it was delish without anyway, which is good if wanting to reduce calories. Will def make again

Delicious! We added quartered chestnut mushrooms when we put the orzo into the pan—they were a great addition. Served with blanched sugar snap peas. We enjoyed some bigger bites of the basil on top.

Excellent! Portion sizes are hearty. Add a green salad to the dinner, and you will have enough for lunch the next day too.
Modifications I made- I used chicken bone broth, whole wheat orzo, and creme fraiche (all left from other recipes). I'm in US and have not found a good "single cream," but you can't ever go wrong with creme fraiche.
Definitely will make again!

Really enjoyed this. Going to try adding a few of the veggies suggested, next time. Can this be frozen?

Am I being silly? Why does it have to be a pan with a lid? I couldn’t see where this was needed 🤷♀️

Thanks for flagging this Olivia! There's no need for the pan to have a lid – we've removed that comment.

The amount of stock here is crazy. I added more orzo than in the recipe and reduced the stock by a third and it was too watery:

Hi Chris, thanks so much for your helpful feedback! We've reduced the stock quantity slightly with this in mind.

Yummy! Cooked for 4 and it is a firm favourite! I found I needed all the stock but I didn't weigh the orzo so maybe I added more than the recipe said and that was why?! Definitely will make again.
